The 2nd eRNAC conference in Helsinki, Finland, on June 14-16, 2012

Theme: Cooperative values in internationalized operations

eRNAC stands for Electronic Research Network for Agricultural Cooperatives. This virtual organization consists of researchers interested in agricultural producer cooperatives. Most researchers base their research on a variety of economic theories.

An eRNAC conference will be held in Helsinki, Finland, in mid June 2012. The conference takes place close to Midsummer when the nights are very long and bright here in northern Europe. The conference will be three days with the middle day spent as a field trip to various cooperatives. In addition to researchers, also representatives (board members and executives) of cooperative enterprises in Finland and elsewhere will be invited.

1000-1200 Opening session with keynote speech by an invited speaker

1200-1300 Lunch

1300-1500 Plenary session 1 (three speakers)

1500-1530 Coffee break

1530-1730 Plenary session 2 (three speakers)

1900-2200 Get together party: A boat trip with dinner in the Helsinki archipelago

June 15th 2012

800-1700 A full day’s trip with visits to the major Finnish cooperatives such as Valio, HK-Scan, and Metsäliitto.

June 16th 2012
